Insight Adjustable Book & Copy Holder Review

This holder keeps papers upright and in position, but it doesn't handle books particularly well, as the clip cannot grip surfaces as thick as most books and the base isn't as wide as most books when they're opened. I have this AND a book stand so I keep myself covered on both ends.

Allsop Metal Art Monitor Stand - Black Review

These stands are exactly what I was looking for: gun metal in color, made of metal (not plastic), sturdy, and stylishly.I bought two of them.In my home office for my wife and me, a 22" widescreen LCD monitor sits on one; a 20" widescreen LCD monitor sits on the other.A 15" IBM Thinkpad fits very nicely under one (saving lots of desk space).Even with a laptop underneath, there is still space underneath to stow an external keyboard over the laptop.See my images for this product. Very highly recommended.

3M(TM) Notebook Stand, Ergonomic, Adjustable from 4 Inches to 6 Inches, Holds up to 15 Pounds Review

Before I ordered this item for personal use, I had already been using this at work for about a month. It has been a boon for my stressed neck muscles.I have a Toshiba M35 15.4" wide-screen laptop at home and a Compaq nc6000 at work. While it fits just perfectly with both the laptops, there is a slight overhang (approx 1" on one side) when used with the Toshiba laptop. This can be an irritant if you would want to attach the mounting bracket for the document holder (which I would expect to be included with the product, not sold as an extra). You get the mounting bracket, but not the document holder!!
The good news is that the product is very very flexible (with multiple height settings) and very laptop-friendly (with vents in the base. This is better than putting your laptop on a flat surface.)Both of my laptops run a lot cooler! The detachable shelves (2 in number) are handy, but one would work just fine.3M should replace the other one with the document holder. If you use a wireless mouse, you can put the base on it, or just a little trinket.

Finally, for just $23, you cannot beat this laptop riser.I have always admired 3M and this wonderful product hasn't dimmed my admiration for them.

This is the best, affordable, and cool-looking laptop riser.

3M(TM) Vertical Notebook Stand, Ergonomic, 3 Inch Vertical Adjustment, Black Review

This is a good laptop riser - solidly built with plenty of non-skid rubber to keep it in place. My office got me one for my MacBook Pro but unfortunately it's not quite compatible.Even though it's adjustable, it's not adjustable enough to get the screen verticle when the laptop is open all the way (since MBP's have a more limited hinge than most PC laptops). Therefore, I need to prop the bottom of it up on part of the box the riser came in, so the whole front of the non-skid rubber is resting on the box instead of the desk.

Also, if you put a MBP on the riser while closed, the riser's front ledge blocks the open button, so I have to make sure I've opened it BEFORE I put it on the riser.

In short, it's a decent enough riser, but I'm going to probably have to get a MBP specific riser out of my own pocket at some point instead.

Allsop 27021 Metal Art Jr Monitor Stand (Pewter) Review

If you own a laptop and use an external LCD monitor or you are just looking to sneak some small peripherals or desk accessories beneath your monitor or an inkjet printer, look no further. The MetalArt Jr. is a classy alternative to molded plastic stands intended for beafier CRT monitors. I ordered the product to use as a stand for a 17" LCD monitor. Not only does it raise the monitor to the ideal height, but it is spaced perfectly to store my IBM T40 laptop and docking station neatly beneath. The perforated metal at the top of the stand allows air to flow freely and keeps both the laptop and monitor cool.
The description doesn't give the dimensions of the stand, which are very important since its size is not traditional, so I'll list them here (from the manufacturer): 11" x 15" x 4.5".

Product Description:
Strange, but true - not every desk is designed with a computer in mind. I know it is hard to believe in this day and age, but whatever. And what about those of you using a countertop or table as a computer desk? Sure the computer will fit - the monitor goes behind the keyboard, the CPU goes , well, the CPU goes wherever the wires allow. You can just pull up a folding chair and start clicking away. But that does not sound very appealing, does it? No ergonomics there. The Metal Art Jr. helps your computer fit into your life. Both in function and in form. Forged from steel, it provides a sturdy shelf for your monitor or printer. And there-s space beneath for your keyboard or other office supplies. Its compact base makes it perfect for flat panel monitors and even laptops. The simple curved design and powder-coated finish aren-t meant to match your computer. They help create a balance between the comfortable feel of your home or office and the technical convenience of your computer. In a nutshell, the Metal Art Jr. gives your monitor or laptop a lift and looks good doing it.

Rolodex Laptop Stand (82410) Review

This is a great inexpensive solution for a laptop stand. It is very sturdy with the mesh type bottom allowing good circulation and heat dissipation. The stand adjusts to several different angles, although the lowest one seems most useful. The only real negative I see is that if you use an Apple notebook, one of the front supports is directly in line with the CD/DVD insert slot. You have to move the notebook for disc insertion or ejection.
